Hey, it's always been a childhood dream to fly, I've taken real pilot lessons in airplanes, and I've bought a few RC "RTF" (Ready to fly aircraft) in my life but never had much luck with them.

In 2009, I bought a RC airplane from The Time Machine, in Manchester Connecticut, called the "AeroBird Challenger" by Hobbyzone. Now this was the first RC plane that I ever had that flew long enough that I was confident a crash was because I screwed up; meaning I was able to actually see and feel how I was controlling that airplane and I was hooked!

Now I have a number of remote control airplanes and helicopters also. I joined a club called the NCCRC which has their own land; one of two clubs that actually own their own land! It's gorgeous out there!

Lastly, I got a taste of RC airplane Pylon racing, lost my favorite plane in the process but I'll tell you what: That was exciting! (I won an engine! - or they felt bad and just gave me a prize LOL) Either way it worked! I loved it!

Something else about this hobby: Most of the folks I've met since I've been getting involved are really friendly, helpful, funny, and there is much fun yaking and hanging out in the "pit areas" as there is actually building, fixing and flying!

I'm hooked!
