D-Metal is an experiment with "Drop D" guitar tuning. I have this cool "dual guitar" solot thing near the end but I lost my original mixes and was unable to make the "fade out" correct but I still like it.
You see, I was having a discussion with someone about DROP-D guitar tuning and I was getting teased by not playing in this non-standard way of tuning for my pieces. Now I like drop-d tuning just fine... but I use what ever is called for... at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
So anyways, in an effort to just crank something out quickly in DROP-D tuning... I recorded D-Metal. It's heavy, grungy, and everything Drop-D tuning brings to the table; well not everything... it is cool to have a deeper sound on electric guitar and I love the likes of how Rob Zombie's music sounds playing in this style... DROP-A tuning is even a "deeper" and "rough" way to tune your guitar to give it an even heavy sound.. but I digress.
